Gameday Guacamole

In my house, tailgating is a way of life. Our way of life. We love to entertain. We love to cook. We love to please a palate. To date, we have hosted a superbowl party every single year we have been married. Well, except for the year an ice storm swiped our electricity from us. Guacamole is one of our favorite things to make, whether game day or not. It will be on the menu Superbowl Sunday! Everyone who even mildly enjoys guacamole must try this recipe! Enjoy.

6 Avocados
Juice of one lime (2 if limes are small/dry)
1-2 Tbsp finely diced purple onion
1 Roma tomato
2 Tbsp chopped jalapeno* (adjust based on your heat tolerance)
1 teaspoon garlic salt
Salt and pepper to taste

Squeeze lime juice into bottom of medium size bowl. Cut avocado in half. Discard seeds. Use a knife to score avocado while it is still inside peel. Scoop out diced avocado into bowl. Using a fork, mash avocado to the consistency you desire. Add all other ingredients and combine. Serve with tortilla chips or other dipper of your choice!

*We have used both fresh jalapeno and jalapeno slices from a jar. Both are tasty. Choose based upon your own personal taste buds.
